Release Notes

INTELLEX PC version 6.1.006

Lease History

  1. The Text Location configuration tab has been modified to include a block Preview.  The Preview displays the selected text vertically to scale to allow the user to judge the fit prior to adding text to the map.  There is also an option to change the preview scale to view text at additional scales in the planning stage.
  2. The Text Block Location and String Properties have been relocated to make them easier to use.
  3. The “Apply to All” option sets the string properties of the currently active text string to all.
  4. A wildcard can now be used when selecting by lease number.  Reminder: a lease queried by lease number will post to the map even if it is not the current lease.  In other words, selecting by lease number allows historical leases to post to the map.  All other queries require that the lease be the current lease to post.

Lease Sale

  1. The Planning Area layer has been added.

Wells

  1. The well symbol size default has been changed to .10 in the Advanced (tab) dialog screen.
  2. Wells are reported in the log window by dataset, data type, number added.

Data Selection

  1. When using a list of well id’s (API numbers) or lease numbers (OCS numbers), the log window will report those not posted to the map and those in the dataset but not posted to the map.
  2. All layers except Tick Marks and Final Border now have a Dataset menu.

Final Border

  1. Graphics files, including logos or any custom graphic in an Intellex drawing format, are saved in the user.tab file.  This file is stored in the IPC home directory\user name\template folder and is generated when the first graphic file is added to the final border layer.
  2. When copying / sharing a saved map containing a final border graphic to another user’s account, the user.tab must be copied to the second user’s template folder in order for the final border graphics to display.
  3. The Color Fill Palette used by the final border drawing file is the standard 256 color Intellex palette.
  4. All lines and symbols correctly display and plot from a .cgm file when lines are changed and symbols are moved manually with the graphic editor, even outside the border lines.

Creating Maps

  1. A correction has been made to Map Properties.  When changing the percentage boundary, the calculation is now made to the original map rather than the current map.
  2. The XY or LatLong boundaries can be edited on an existing map through Map Properties.  Editing of XY’s are enabled for XY bounded maps, and LatLongs for LatLong bounded maps.
  3. Prospect Layer is now available for mapping and reporting.

Reports

  1. The Report Format can now be set in the Layer configuration for leases and wells.  Formats set in the Report Format tab will be the default until changed. Reports generated by “clicking” on map data will reflect the default.
  2. Formats include List Report, HTML Report and PDF Report.  The HTML report includes links to additional reports.  The PDF Report is printable.
  3. A Map Report option has been added to the toolbar in addition to the Block Report.  This new report includes the selected data for the entire map.
  4. An HTML/PDF button has replaced the report tab.
  5. For well reports, the formatted report will be a Scout ticket only if the SCOUT or SCOUTCHECK datasets are selected.

Export / Import

  1. The DXF now exports the final border lease legend and north arrow correctly.
  2. The DXF export is correctly handling the line width for maps in meters.
  3. The DXF export application will name the layers, by default, as follows: LayerNumber_PostNumber_SelectSet Number_ColorNumber_Description. The layer name can be customized by using a custom layer definition file.
  4. The DXF export application had an error. The text was output as a block instead of as simple text. This has been corrected, and the text is output correctly.
  5. The ESRI Shapefile export now includes the projection file (.prj) in meters or feet.
  6. Only displayed directionals are exported.
  7. Wells may be exported in one file or separated by post / dataset.

Administrative

  1. A server dialog has been added under settings.  The Oracle connection string / server name can be set as well as an option to save the setting to all users.
  2. The date of the last Data Update is now included in the Help Menu under About IntellexPC.

Onshore

  1. The onshore layers that are available for mapping now include Land Culture, Survey / Abstract and Township / Section data.
  2. Future development will include state and county templates for building maps graphically.  Currently, maps should be built with the custom map option. State and county data can be added to a custom map so that it may be used as a template to build additional maps more easily.
  3. Text Position options include:

§         Database Position (suggested) positions text from source data values.  The color and line weight may be modified by the user in Text Properties.

§         Center Text positions text from user supplied Text Properties.

  1. Color fill has been added to Land Culture.
