Databases for the Gulf of Mexico and More

Energy Graphics' own need for quality data for its custom mapping services has lead the company to develop an extensive Database Department where culture, lease, well, and pipeline data are constantly updated for use with the INTELLEX Exploration System. Energy Graphics software clients enjoy the use of much of this data as a part of the INTELLEX and INTELLEX Report software packages. The company also makes this data available to the industry as listed below. All data types are maintained in separate databases. Customers may license an entire database or only data for a specific area.

Directional Surveys and Well Locations along with some associated culture data may be ordered on-line by utilizing our INTELLEX Web ordering system.

Directional survey data is borehole location data collected at frequent intervals during drilling operations. When combined with formation top information, this data gives explorationists an excellent method of tying back to their seismic sections.

Energy Graphics, Inc. is the exclusive source for Energy Information, Inc. Directional Survey Data covering the Gulf of Mexico. With over 44,000 current wells and new wells added continuously, this database virtually covers the entire gulf. The file is complete with the raw data, true north and/or grid north information. This information can be provided in a variety of formats to accomodate your interpretation workstation. Wells are priced on a descending price per well basis depending upon the number of wells licensed at any one time.

Fields & Reservoirs - Gulf of Mexico

Inquire about FieldBase Field & Reservoir Data FieldBaseTM is field and reservoir information for the Gulf of Mexico. Based on data developed and released by the Minerals Management Service, U.S. Geological Survey and the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as technical articles in professional and trade journals, FieldBase includes information on over 1200 fields, 8600 productive sands and 25,000 fault-block reservoirs.

Energy Graphics, Inc. is the exclusive source for Energy Information Partners, Inc. FieldBase field and reservoir data. The FieldBase database is fully integrated with EGI’s other offshore data sets and is delivered through the Energy Graphics INTELLEX ReportTM software. With FieldBase, users can retrieve and view information about fields and their producing units based on over 140 data elements. In addition, the database integrates information on regional play trends and field pools defined by the MMS and the USGS. FieldBase data is updated monthly to provide users access to the most recent information.

Lease Info & History (Federal Waters)

Energy Graphics has invested considerable time and effort in researching and correcting Gulf of Mexico lease history data from the MMS to produce an excellent proprietary database of historical lease data. Gulf of Mexico data includes current operator, current lease ownership & percentages, status, effective date, status date, 1st. production date, expected expiration date, initial lease period, rent per acre, lease suspension and extension data, termination date, Gulf of Mexico region flag, low and high water depths, and distance to shoreline, plus all sale information, including sale number and date, areacode, block number, acreage, bonus, and bid per acre. This database is updated continuously for utmost accuracy using a variety of public information. Each lease has an accurate boundary description, whether it is a whole block or any portion thereof.

Lease Info (Louisiana State Waters)

Inception of Louisiana state leases is 1998 and contains Louisiana state leases that are assigned offshore block numbers. There are no bays and rivers data. The lease sale is updated monthly for Lousiana, with a legal description by xy boundary provided at that time. Louisiana leases may be bounded by shoreline or three mile line. Currently, there are over 600 active, and over 700 inactive.

Lease Info (Texas State Waters)

This data covers Texas offshore lease blocks inside the three-mile line, including bays. The data includes current operator, status, effective date, expected expiration date, initial lease period, rent per acre, lease suspension and extension data, termination date, Gulf of Mexico region flag, plus sale information including area code, block number, acreage, bonus, and bid per acre. This database is continuously updated using information from the Texas General Land Office.

Bid Histories (Federal Waters)

Data includes all sale information for U.S. Government lease sales on leases in the Gulf of Mexico. This database is updated after each lease sale.

Pipelines - Gulf of Mexico

Order Pipeline Literature A tremendous number of manhours have gone into Energy Graphics' Gulf of Mexico Pipeline database. Unlike many commercial pipeline databases that have been produced through digitizing, this database has been meticulously compiled from the "as-built" information recorded with the MMS for each individual pipeline segment. Gulf of Mexico pipeline data includes owner, pipe size, pipeline length, "comes from" and "goes to" information, status, and product service. This database is continuously updated using all location coordinates from as-builts and proposals available from MMS.

Gulf of Mexico Federal Waters

Gulf of Mexico well data includes API number, areacode, block number, OCS number, well number, well type, field, operator, spud and completion dates, MD and TVD, surface and bottom hole locations. This database is updated constantly for utmost accuracy using MMS sundry notices and completion reports. MMS borehole information is used for quality control purposes and obtaining missing information.

Offshore Texas State Waters

Texas State Waters well data includes API number, areacode, block number, OCS number, well number, well type, field, operator, spud and completion dates, MD and TVD, surface and bottom hole locations. This database is updated constantly for utmost accuracy.
